High-Voltage (HV) Level 1
The high-voltage (HV) level 1 course qualifies participants for the safe operation of electric vehicles and for work on high-voltage vehicles. Work on the high-voltage system itself or on high-voltage components is excluded. Participants gain an understanding of the structure and function of high-voltage components and are familiarized with the installation position and marking of high-voltage components. In addition, the participants are informed about the non-observance of the regulations and the associated possible electrical hazards, e.g. dangerous body flow or arcing.
Scope
Includes two online learning units
Content of the training
In accordance with DGUV I 209-093
Electrical hazards and protective measures
- Operating vehicles and associated equipment (e.g. test benches)
- Performing general activities that do not require the HV system to be disconnected
- Positioning and labeling HV components and cables in and on the vehicle
- Carrying out all mechanical activities on the vehicle ("Hands off orange!")
- Decommissioning the HV system, activating the operational isolation/emergency shutdown as an additional safety measure
- Unauthorized work on the vehicle
- Stop work if it is unclear and inform the responsible high-voltage expert
- Organizational procedure for work on HV components carried out under the direction and supervision of a responsible electrician
